Considered the jewel of India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Havelock Island is a tiny strip of land surrounded by the clear waters of the Andaman Sea, resulting in miles of uninterrupted coastline, often populated by wandering elephants.

Permits and procedures

Once the package is booked, we apply for the permits on behalf of the guests. Our services also include transfers from Port Blair Airport to Havelock Island by cruise or ferries. Our company car is used for land transfers during arrival/departure and fishing days.

Itinerary

5 Days

1

Day 1

Arrive in Port Blair. Transfer to jetty for onward cruise to Havelock Island. Reach Havelock Island in 02 hours. Meet and greet at Havelock jetty and transfer to Havelock beach resort. In the evening meet our Captain to discuss about your Fishing trip from next day.

Day 2, Day 3 & Day 4

Start early morning from Havelock jetty to witness the mesmerizing sunrise view from the boat with some hot coffee. Fishing at this timeis best near Havelock Island snce the low light allows sight-feeding predators to see and attack prey before they are seen by the baitfish.
We target the GTs through popping around the islands on this day and also do some trolling over the reefs around the islands and the reefs. During these multiple day trips we wll fish near Long Island, South Button Iand and Middle Andamans.

Day 5

If you have a morning flight we will transfer you to Port Blair the previous night and in case you have a afternoon flight you can travel from Havelock to Port Blair by the morning cruise.

2. Hotel accommodation in triple occupancy at 4 Star hotels in Port Blair/Havelock.

Option 1: (Fishing in Incredible bank): This day is full of action as we sail for Incredible bank. Incredible bank, as the name suggests is rich of corals and predator fishes. This spot is idea for jigging and trolling. Extra charge  Rs.30000
Option 2: Fishing in Barren Island): This is the most exciting day of the tour as we set out for the only active volcano in south Asia, Barren Island. The volcanic reef around Barren Island is the home to some of the most gigantic predators found in Andaman. You have all three options of Popping, Jigging and also trolling around Barren Island. Extra charge  Rs.35000

Policies

Payment Policy:

1. Bookings are blocked on payment of 50% of the fishing package amount. 
2. The remaining 50 % has to be paid before commencement of the package.
3. No package shall commence without full payment.


Refund Policy:

1. For cancellations upto 30 days of the tour, we refund 100% of the payment.
2. From 29 to 15 Days we refund 50 % of the payment.
3. From 14 to 7 Days we refund 25% of the payment.
4. No refund for cancellations within 6 days.


Medical declaration/Alcohol and behavior and safety policy

1. All customers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions or any medication prior to booking and departure (as some people may require special attention).
2. It is required that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other
customers and our property. Any loss or damage will be charged.
3. The Skipper reserves the right to refuse alcohol onboard if he deems it to be unsafe, refuse
a passenger onboard the vessel if they are under the influence of alcohol and can cancel
the trip with no refund.

    The climate is tropical, warm all year round, with a dry season from January to April, and a rainy season due to the Indian monsoon, from May to August. September to April is the ideal time for fishing here. Please note that all charters are subject to suitable weather conditions (the decision is made at the discretion of the skipper) and we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice).

  • WHAT ARE THE ENTRY FORMALITIES?
    There are no restrictions on entry of Indian nationals. Foreign nationals need to get a restricted area permit. We assist with other permits to visit islands.
  • WHERE ARE THE ANDAMAN ISLANDS ?
    The Andaman Islands are located in the Bay of Bengal and form the western perimeter of the Andaman Sea. Andaman Islands still retain the original wild and untamed character of this pocket of South East Asia. Measuring over 700 kms from north to south, including the inaccessible Nicobar Island chain, these 572 Islands of the archipelago are swathed in over 86% primary rainforest. Only 36 islands are inhabited to the day.
  • WHICH IS THE BEST SEASON TO VISIT ANDAMAN ?
    Although Andaman Islands are a all season tourist destination but the best time to fish here is October to March. We operate our boats all through the year except the months of Jun, July & August.

  • How to reach Barren Island ?
    As there are no regular boat or ferry services to Barren Island, the only option to reach Barren Island is to charter a boat from Havelock or Port Blair. The duration of travel depends on the weather and sea conditions and type of boat. Presently only our company operates regular charters to Barren Island in high speed Gulf Craft which reaches Barren Island from Havelock in 2 hours time.
  • Where is Barren Island?
    Barren Island is situated approximately 140 Kms from the capital town of Port Blair in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This volcanic island is a part of the volcanic belt between the Indian and Burmese tectonic plates. The other Volcano in this belt, Narcondam Island is also a part of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • How big is the boat and how many people can travel together ?
    The boat is 36 feet long and powered with two 250 HP engines. It has a maximum speed of 40 Knots. The capacity of the boat is 12. However, for a comfortable journey we take maximum 08 people for the Barren Island trip.
  • What are the charges to visit Barren Island?
    Boat charter charges to visit Barren Island are Rs.1,20,000 + Permit charges. Shared trip charges are Rs.25000 per person + Permit charges.
  • What are the timings and duration of the trip ?
    The trip starts at 5 am from Havelock and usually ends by 3 pm. The total duration is 8-10 hours. The guests on board get to see the sunrise from mid sea and also fishing is best in the early morning.
  • How high is the volcano and how big is the island ?
    The height of the volcano is 354 metres (1,161 ft), but most of the volcano lies underwater upto 2250 meters below the surface. The 3 km long island is mostly covered by the volcano and its lava.
  • Can I land on the volcano Island ?
    No, landing on the island is not permitted due to safety and security reasons. However we can take you very close to the island so that you can see the volcano clearly from our boat.
  • Is the volcano still active?
    Barren Island in Andaman is the only active volcano in South Asia. The volcano recorded its first eruption in the year 1787 and since then the volcano has erupted for 8 more times. The last eruption was observed in the year 2017 and is still continuing.
  • What is the rescue option in case of a technical problem or any distress?
    Our boat is equipped with a distress alert transmitter which can alert the coast guard in case of any distress. Also, we can request help through the VHF transmitter. The area information system enables tracking of our ship throughout the journey from the land. Thus, we have all provisions so seek help and rescue in case of an emergency.
  • What the permissions required to visit Barren Island?
    Prior permissions are to be obtained from Department of Fisheries, Police Marine Force, Port Management Board and Indian Coast Guard for Barren Island. We do all the permissions for you, you just need to send us your Adhaar Card/Passport and a clear colour photograph at least 02 working days before the trip.
  • What type of fishing is done at Barren Island?
    You can do popping, jigging & trolling in Barren Island.
  • How safe is the trip especially for children and senior citizen ?
    The boat is equipped with all safety equipment including Distress alert transmitters, Area Information systems, VHF, GPS & life jackets. The boat has a seating cabin & first aid box. All our crew are trained for handling any type of emergency on board. Please note that due to open sea and waves some people may feel sea sickness. It is advised to take motion sickness pills 30 minutes before the trip.
  • Is there a toilet in the boat?
    Yes, the boat has a toilet and fresh water supply.
  • Can we bring the fish that we catch during the trip & can you cook it for us ?
    The Sports fishing rules permit 02 fishes to be brought for own consumption. We can make arrangements for the fish you caught to be served to you for dinner. However, you need to pay for the dinner except the fish.
  • What about breakfast & lunch ?
    Packed breakfast, ready to eat lunch and refreshments are provided on board. Bottled drinking water and cold drinks are also provided on board.
